Aaron C. Jackson is a product of Columbus City Schools. He attended The Ohio State University as a music education major where he studied tuba performance with Professor Robert T. LeBlanc and conducting with Dr. Donald McGinnis. He performed in many ensembles including the concert band and the famed Ohio State University Marching Band.
After receiving his degree, he joined the Columbus City schools where he taught primarily in high schools and served as Coordinator of Instrumental Music and Theatre for the district. He retired in 2013. A working and freelance musician, he performs in many genres from Classical music to Dixieland as a tubist, guitarist, and banjoist and has conducted in many ensembles including pit orchestra and concert, jazz, and brass bands.
