The Reynoldsburg Community Band Seeks Band DirectorPosition AnnouncementThe Reynoldsburg Community Band is seeking a new Band Director. This energetic volunteer organization seeks a conductor for a community-based, approximately 45 member wind ensemble. Qualifications include: experience conducting, willingness to work collaboratively with an elected governing board and an ability to conduct summer concerts as well as several holiday appearances is required. A small stipend (to offset travel expenses) based on a percentage of band concert fee income is included.

About UsThe Reynoldsburg Community Band is a traditional concert band (organized October 1997) open to everyone (high school-age or older). The band provides a fun, social environment for musicians to practice and perform their art. The band, consisting of volunteers, serves the Reynoldsburg community by performing, educating and entertaining. The City of Reynoldsburg (Parks and Recreation Department) sponsors the Reynoldsburg Community Band.
Position ExpectationsThe new Director will: direct rehearsals and concerts, attend board meetings as an ex officio member, work collaboratively with the board on programming and music selection, and gain a familiarity with the band’s music library.
